Okay, I'm editing photos of Sara and Chris's wedding, and I find myself cracking up as I look over a lot of these; this is easily the most down to earth and funny couple I've ever photographed.  I remember walking into the room where Sara was getting ready and feeling like we had known each other forever- she was so calm on the day when a lot of people are super nervous and full of jitters.

Anyhow, the wedding was at a golf course and Chris is a golfaholic.  Sara had obviously put a lot of thought into the details at the wedding and I absolutely loved the cake:

If you look closely, you'll notice the lyrics to 'You Are My Sunshine' written on the layers of the cake!

SO SWEET- figuratively and literally!  Next, have a look at the most beautiful boutonniere ever!  I don't think I've ever seen such a bright orchid!

After the wedding ceremony, we ran off to take some photos of the couple.  We went off (the three of us on a golf cart) to some remote part of the golf course, and I told Sara and Chris to act passionate and dramatic... this is what I got!

Hilarious!  I'm telling you- I'm a wedding photographer- I've done this many times, but these guys kept cracking me up!

I don't know what the name of this painting is:

dis_Men_Are_Men_html_m76773668.jpg
but I imagine if you could scroll the photo down to their feet, it would look very similar to Sara and Chris's feet, which I HAD to take a photo of:

As we were walking, I noticed this abandoned golf ball on the ground
noelle-goveia-photography-saraandchris-8.jpg
and then noticed this sign, which about had me rolling around on the ground laughing

And one of our lovely couple, doing what they do best- making each other laugh!

Thank you guys for being so fun to work with- this was definitely the most I've ever laughed at a wedding!

My friend April called me up one day, telling me that her dad's birthday was coming up and that she wanted to have photos of their family taken to give him as a gift.  I thought that was a super cute idea, so I met the whole clan out on the beach for an impromptu photo session:

and found them sitting by the water, looking like one of the photos that comes inside a photo frame!  Is this not just too stinking cute?!

Here are a few of April and her husband Derrick:

She has one of those infectious smiles.  It's like a yawn- you see hers and you just find yourself doing it too.  It's like peer pressure of the teeth.

April doesn't like this photo.... but I love it.  Her smile makes me jealous.  She's like a Colgate commercial and I want her teeth.

In putting up photos of Jess and Cole's wedding, I realized I had not posted any pics from their engagement session, taken about 8 months before the wedding.

These pictures were taken in Seaside, Florida- the place where the couple planned on honeymooning.

I love this photo because it shows Jessica's awesome smile... she says she doesn't love it because it looks like she's trying to bite off his eyebrow.  You be the judge:

Check out Jessica's pimptastic engagement ring, designed by Cole and a jeweler: BLING!

This one is my favorite of the day- it makes me feel all happy inside

As I'm editing the photos from Jessica and Cole's wedding, I am finding myself checking out all the little details over and over again- Jessica did an amazing job of really mastering the little things all over the reception- see for yourself:

Something old, something new, something borrowed and something:

ft-lauderdale-wedding-photographer.jpgEveryone had a little bit of blue in them!

The centerpieces were amazing!  Beautiful pink hues and pears- what a combo!

ft-lauderdale-wedding-photographer-3.jpg
The tables that were around the dance floor had these super beautiful glass candle holders with hot pink rose petals in them:

You know, I truly feel like we don't eat enough cake in our lifetimes.  I really think I could eat cake every weekend and I still would never run out of recipes and never get sick of them. To top it all off, this one was so darn beautiful that you felt like you were opening a gift and eating cake too!

Flowers and leaf-covered votive candles on the sweetheart table:

This was a beautiful idea:  Jessica had pomanders made and hung on some of the chairs at the site of the ceremony.  The hot pink ribbon was perfect with the bright pom pom flowers:

Inside, I found some jordan almonds in clear boxes with a big H pressed into beautiful hot wax:

I can not get over how beautiful the bouquets were:

The boys hanging out, waiting for the endless hours we women tend to spend getting ready

Gorgeous dress for a gorgeous girl:

And finally, our lovely couple (please check out where Cole's right hand is so carefully resting):

I had a blast at the wedding!  I love you guys!!!

Have you ever met someone you knew you could instantly be friends with?  That's how I felt about Monica & Scott (Scottica?  Monicott?)  I've been editing their wedding photos and have a few I'd like to share:

Super cute invitation, with a sand dollar logo to indicate the seaside wedding and reception

noelle-goveia-photography-monicas.jpg
This girl has taste- check out the flowers for the centerpieces:  gorgeous!

fort-lauderdale-wedding-photographer-ms.jpg
I wish everyone would wear cool shoes!

noelle-goveia-photography-monica-2.jpg
One of the things that I found absolutely intoxicating about these two is the way they interacted with each other.  They are so ridiculously in love that you couldn't help but share in their laughter and joy:

noelle-goveia-photography-monica-6.jpg
I absolutely love it when girls wear flowers in their hair

noelle-goveia-photography-monica-4.jpg
You may not believe me, but I did not set this up!  As we headed down the boardwalk to the beach, Monica kicked off her high heels and the way they were lying on the wooden planks made me stop and take a photo before they inevitably got moved:

noelle-goveia-photography-monica-5.jpg
And one of the happy couple doing what they do:

noelle-goveia-photography-monicas-2-2.jpg
Delicious, delicious, wish I was eating some right at this moment, cake:

fort-lauderdale-wedding-photographer-ms-4.jpg
I love creative lighting:  the reception was held in an open area under a house on stilts that was right on the beach, so Monica used Chinese paper lanterns to add some light

And the getaway:
