White as a theme... check it out:
noelle-goveia-photography-dm1.jpgThat's the white cake on the white counters in the white house...

noelle-goveia-photography-dm2.jpgAnd there's our beautiful bride on a white couch in her white dress.  This was one of the most beautiful small weddings I've attended.  The house was spectacular and the presence of only the immediate family, a violinist and myself made the ceremony incredibly intimate and special.  The couple exchanged vows on a balcony overlooking the sea and, as I suspected, they were so excited about finally tying the knot that they both had smiles on their faces that could rival The Joker's.

There's definitely something to be said for small and intimate weddings, and this one definitely lived up to those pros.  Thank you both for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful ceremony.  It will remain in my memory for a long time :)

I honestly believe this is the case in wedding planning.  There are so many big events to coordinate when planning a wedding, such as the location, the dress, the tuxes, and the people who will be in the bridal party, that the details sometimes get overlooked.

This is NOT the case in Kelly & Greg's wedding.  To say the details had been thoroughly planned and meticulously executed is an understatement:

Exhibit A: the boutonnieres

These, esteemed members of the jury, are fiddlehead ferns that have been beautifully transformed into the most creative lapel-enhancing detail of the wedding.

Exhibit B: The Programs

Are you catching on to the whole green and pink motif here?  Follow me, let's keep going.

Exhibit C: SIGNATURE COCKTAILS!  WHAT?  YES, I SAID IT, AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN: SIGNATURE COCKTAILS!!!

These are spiked pink lemonades, and in case you had forgotten where you were, the pink and green grossgrain ribbon stirrers should jog your memory.

I can read your thoughts.  I know what you are thinking.  Maybe the reason these details are so fabulous are because the location was terrible and they had to up the ante with the cutesy stirrers in order to fool the guests!

Wrong.  So wrong.

This was the building where the bride was hanging out and waiting until it was her time to walk down the (perfectly manicured grass) aisle. Behind the building is a sky that belongs in a painting.

Our bride and groom stealing a moment for themselves right after the ceremony:

And one more of that just-married bliss I love so much:

Seriously.  I think Danielle must have had an auditioning process for her bridal party.  I'm thinking it was probably very much like American Idol, where you come up to the stage and plead your case about why you think you should be allowed to be a part of the wedding, and Simon Cowel rips you a new one.  Each bridesmaid was more beautiful than the last, not to mention that Danielle looks like Marilyn Monroe reborn, and Bart was wearing those awesome Navy officer white suits that makes every guy look awesome!

You have got to see some of what I walked in to:

and this is Danielle walking in to the most beautiful church

Does this not look like something out of a movie?!

I love Christmas for many reasons.  One of them being the presents, because I love opening presents more than anything else in this whole world.  Another reason is because girls are inevitably seeking me to take sexy photos for that special man in each of our lives.

That being said...

Come on, now.  Everyone knows and loves Eartha Kitt's Santa Baby song!  Don't act like you don't put on a Betty Boop-esque show when it comes on that one radio station that plays Christmas music for a solid month!

Lila Santa 2.jpg
You're starting to get it, I can feel it.  You're currently sashaying the top half of your body in rhythm to the song that is now solidly forming into your mind...

And now you're trying to remember what the next line is...

Lila Santa 4.jpg
don't you worry, I've got you covered!

Lila Santa 5.jpg
You'll have the words stuck in your head for days!

Lila Santa 6.jpg
and you'll think of this gorgeous girl every time you sing it!

Now log in to your iTunes account and download it.  It's the only way to get that ridiculously catchy tune out of your head.  As far as getting the lady out of your head, well, that's another story!

Merry Christmas!

I'm kind of rushed this morning, but I'm feeling determined to continue on this attempt to update this blog every day, so here's another gorgeous shot of my favorite snow bunny:
