I was going through a bunch of files and I found one photo of Christina that I completely forgot to upload- and it's one of my favorites! I have no idea how this one slipped by me, but here it is:

Okay, let's go ahead and check out the rest of these amazing photos of Christina down by the river... err, I mean the wall:

I've got a slight obsession with hot pink, and I was so lucky that Christina was willing to let me try this craziness on her. We had an AMAZING makeup artist put hot pink eyes and lips on her, and combined with the faux hawk, the look was to die for. She's so sassy with that lifted brow!!! This man she's about to marry is one lucky guy:

What was funny was that neither one of us knew how perfect she would be for these crazy photos- Christina just fit right in with the colorful murals. She wanted a photo of her shoes, which had her new last name embroidered on the back. So cute:

I had to do one from this angle so that we could see the ridiculous length of those lashes:

Okay, now for my two favorite images of the whole day! I love the following photo because it looks like she and that big creature are posing together for the photo. I absolutely love this picture!

And the last photo we took, where we were laughing so hard at the shenanigans we had been up to that day that we had a hard time controlling the belly laughter. I wanted a photo of a bunch of the murals together:

And there you have it- my most untraditional bridal portrait session to date. THANK YOU, CHRIS!!! These photos have made me so happy :)

So, I have always had this idea to shoot a really crazy bridal portrait session with a girl in some really cool location. Luckily, after years of shooting weddings, I finally found someone who wanted to do some really off the wall photos for her bridal pictures. This fit right in with Christina's wedding, seeing as she's going to be walking down the aisle in Chucks.

Christina, in her awesome Chucks. What you can't really see is that her hair is in a fauxhawk, and that she is officially the coolest girl ever for letting me drag her out of bed at the crack of dawn, splatter pink color all over her face and then put her in the blazing sun to take these photos, thus making my dream come true :)

I have all these photos on the slideshow on my site, so I thought I'd go through them and explain some... for example:

I met Danielle and Bart when they were hunting for photographers to shoot their wedding in beautiful Seaside, Florida. A few months later, we got together to take their engagement photos on the beach in Seaside. This photo was one of the very first ones we took, and I love the way Danielle looks all Marilyn Monroe-esque with her come hither eyes!
I loved the way they held each others' hands and how absolutely beautiful Danielle's skin is:

This was fun: we found a little hut where they sold hot dogs and grilled cheesed sandwiches, and Coca Colas in glass bottles sitting in a big tub of ice. I felt like we had traveled back in time.

As the three of us start walking toward the water, Danielle casually mentions that she wants to take some photos of them in the water. At this point, I look at her, thinking she can't possibly want to get in the water when it was still pretty chilly at that time, but she was serious. So, we edged our way closer and closer to the water's edge:

Still with the decision firm in her mind, Danielle said "Let's just do it already!", so the two of them at first got into a few inches of water. It was awesome because she was right, the photos looked awesome, but also because, at this point, I was still dry:

The problem was, we all thought these water pics were really cool and so I though, if they are awesome here, how much cooler would they be if they were all the way in the water? Danielle and Bart agreed to move our session into the ocean, but inevitably, this meant I had to get in the ocean too- fully dressed in jeans and a sweater. It was so worth it:
