My good friend Jonathon is working on a pimtastic new site for his photography. This guy is ridiculously talented and has done a lot of work that a lot of people are really proud of.
Give his new site a look over: www.jonathonziegelman.com and be prepared to be amazed :)

I was going through an archive of photos today when I came across these photos from a bridal photos shoot I did quite a few years ago. It's strange how time creeps up on you and things that feel like they happened yesterday actually happened half a decade ago... I'm getting old, Man.
Anyhow, here's the lovely Nicole:

Nicole really put a whole lot of time into the details of her wedding. She had cute signs everywhere and the guests signed a surfboard instead of a guest book. And speaking of intricate details, check out the foot jewelry:

It's always fun to reminisce about weddings from a while back ;)

I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with Mr. Newman. He was a Miami-born photographer who is credited as the first person to photograph a subject in his own surroundings (i.e. not in a portrait studio).
I found this pretty awesome quote by him a few days ago:
I am convinced that any photographic attempt to show the complete man is nonsense. We can only show, as best we can, what the outer man reveals. The inner man is seldom revealed to anyone, sometimes not even the man himself.
Well-spoken, Mr. Newman.

... comes home and winds up on my blog!
I've been meaning to put up a pic or two of my recent trip to Vegas, but I've been having issues with the interwebs. I am convinced the interwebs and Ashton Kutcher have teamed together to see how long I am willing to scream at an inanimate object.
That being said, today Interwebs is agreeing with me.
Thank you, Interwebs. You've truly made my day.
ANYHOW, I recently went to Las Vegas for the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conference and it was pretty fan-freaking-tastic.
I arrived super late and headed straight up to my amazing room with an amazing view:
Here's the weird thing. See that big parking lot on the bottom left of the picture? The next morning, I woke up and it was filled with snow. Yeah, snow. Does it snow in Las Vegas? Because I did one of those cartoon-like eye rubs and looked again thinking I must be nuts, surely it does not snow in Vegas. But I didn't take a photo because I only brought one lens with me because I didn't feel like worrying about my camera the whole week I was there.
DON'T HATE! I took a nominal number of photos, I am aware of this. I was there to learn!!!
Speaking of learning, I took this sweet class (with 899 other people- yikes) about boudoir photography and I had to take a photo to share because it cracked me up:
The rest of my photos were kind of boring so I'll leave it at that.
Toodles!

Did you know that the word boudoir means a lady's bedroom? It's true.
I think Valentine's Day is absolutely FABULOUS because I always get a few phone calls from girls wanting to get some boudoir photographs taken for the special man in their lives. I think boudoir photography is awesome as it seems every girl gets to feel like a movie star for the duration of the shoot, since a make-up artist and hair-stylist is there simply for her, primping and touching up in true Hollywood style.
Now, I realize that Valentine's Day was a good month ago and you're probably thinking "Why are you only posting pics now?"
Because I've been traversing the land, Man! I've gone to New York City and Las Vegas and my powers of omnipresence are not yet what I hope they will one day be.
Don't judge me!!!
Let's, er, get back to business, eh?

SHAZAM!

I have to give our friend here a round of applause for being able to contort herself into the bizarre positions I thought up in my head.
Thank you for loving me, cooperating with me and lauding me when I presented these to you.
