Great news! I received a call today letting me know that I've been nominated for Wedding Wire's Bride's Choice Awards for 2011!
Wedding Wire is a company offering online wedding resources for brides in conjunction with Martha Steward Weddings, Project Wedding and Wedding Bee. Each year, the bride's choice awards nominates vendors who stand among the top five percent of wedding professionals within the industry. Awards were given to the top wedding professionals across 20 service categories, from wedding venues to wedding photographers, and were based on the overall professional achievements throughout the past year.

Okay, so as with most things, there is a good side and a bad side to everything: the good news is that I've gotten a beautiful new site that I think is just fabulous and cannot wait to go live with. The bad news is that with the beautiful new site comes having to move everything over from the old site- including a few years worth of blog posts.
Since the entries from the old site are from many moons ago anyhow, I figure I'm going to start fresh- every day or so adding a photo and the story behind it... which leads me to:
A few months ago, when I started the process of designing a new blog site, I asked an amazingly talented friend of mine, Jonathon Ziegelman, if he would shoot a crazy, different, cool picture of me to use as the 'hey, look at me!' photo for the site and blog. As always, signed, sealed, delivered:

Oh my gosh, I was just up messing around on the computer and looked at your new site. WOW!!!! Love the reflection in the lens. Great picture. Really tells the story. I had a great time strolling through the pictures. Fantastic.
